Perfectly blended spices in your favorite recipe, oh so good with a voice that sounds like home. Important messages, intriguing nuances of beats and melody. With orchestra background as well as rock and roll and folk, pleasantly complex and intriguing.

notes

Boston Live says:

BEYOND THE STARS "when you know who you are, you can see beyond the stars..."

A musical work of art and genius...Listen to this CD once...it will begin to capture your attention...twice and you'll want to listen again and the third time you are hooked! You'll find yourself singing "Right now it's getting better" in the shower and humming lines from "A Message from John" in the car. John Heartson brings to view the corruption and fear we are facing--and calls us to the scene' to "meet us on the hilltop and stop this machine..." while awakening us with heartfelt messages of hope and love .... "At end of your life, there's nothing that you take and when you leave it will be too late to give the love that you could be giving here. Don't waste another day living life in fear.." a soulful blend of rock, easy listening, pop, techno and new age that touches teens and baby boomers alike. Donna Packard

"Beyond the Stars" appeals to intelligent open hearted people of all ages but I was surprised to learn that kids loved it too.

Here's what a mom of a 12 year old had to say.
"While driving the friends home today, i only wish you could have seen Kev show the kids each of your songs as he sang them verbatim ....WOW! Kathy Pomer

Thanks for the great tunes! BEYOND THE STARS is all that and more! On the far side . . . Past the understanding, reach or scope of . . . Greater than 5 stars! Peace and truth for the mind, body and soul!

The variety of sound is refreshing and well executed. The lyrics are clever and on the mark for the crazy world of today. I listen to it regularly. I hope the Monk keeps up the great work.

  • Songs with melodic and spiritual depths
    author: Barbara Williams

Buy John Heartson’s CD if you are looking for powerful music that addresses current political and spiritual issues. John has set thought-provoking themes to catchy music. John’s music is timely, inspiring, and energizing. My favorite song is “Caught in a Dream,” however I like them all and they are all very different.

  • Renaissance man creates a magic mix of infectious tunes
    author: johnnymac

Inspired by his connection to his creative source, John brings out infectious rhythms and layered tracks to support his magical voice. "Beyond the stars" sends me. I crank up Scott Cheney's guitar solos on "Right Now It's Getting Better". "Message From John" is Beatlesque and we all know who inspired that one. I play the CD regularly at home and in the car. You won't tire of this one!

  • Incredible virtuosity and talent create a CD to push repeat button
    author: Doc

Pure, smooth voice and gentle multi-track rhythms morph into raw energy and passionate lyrics about hope for our world of contrasts. Beyond The Stars song really sends me soaring and Right Now is Getting Better kicks out the jams. Scott Cheney's guitar wails and I love his solos...wish they were longer. A MUST CD for eclectics.
