The Global Village is a non-profit charity that provides education opportunities for rural children, basic needs for orphans, much needed medications, water storage facilities and in some cases a college education to many poor rural students.
As a touring pop/rock artist Heather Schmid toured China, Pakistan, the Middle East, and not just the major cities. ‘I have had more fun performing in smaller cities around China, it’s very rewarding performing for an audience that has never seen an International Pop/Rock Show before.” Heather Schmid is a recording artist recognized worldwide for her artistry, charity, and influence. As a Recording Academy member, Heather\'s approach is fiercely independent.

Heather is a new breed of pop star. She feels herself as part of the global village. She is a citizen of the world and wants to help shrink the boundaries between us. Her music is a vehicle to build bridges between our countries and speak the universal language of music. Her tour of The Goddess Within™ and now her latest album \'100% charity to Global Village\' has one purpose to shrink the boundaries between us. So many things are possible now that were never before. Heather uses her music and influence to bring strength and uplift those without a voice.
