Album Notes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Heather Pick, WBNS 10-TV former morning and noon news anchor, released her new CD titled “Circle of Support” featuring three original works on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007 at fundraising benefit for the newly founded Heather Pick Spirit Fund with the Columbus Cancer Clinic.

An eight-year breast cancer survivor, Pick co-wrote two songs on the album with Dave Clo of Nashville, TN., the title track as well as “I Dare You.” The inspirational CD also features familiar cover songs performed by Pick and is available for $15 with 100% of the donation going to cancer research.

During the release of the CD, Heather wrote, “I am currently battling breast cancer so I have a vested interest in finding a cure for it,” said Pick, “It’s my hope that the CD will offer a small bit of inspiration because let’s face it, we all know someone struggling against this terrible disease.”

Through its production of Pick’s album as well as 8 other CD releases, A Christmas to Cure Cancer raises money through donations in exchange for CDs and through benefit concerts throughout the year. To date, they have sold nearly 15,000 albums and raised nearly $500,000 for cancer-related causes.

The Lord took Heather to be with him on November 7, 2008. There's a new star shining in the heavens at night. God got a good one. Heather left us with these words: "Don't wait, Give someone an unexpected gift just because you appreciate them. Take your own loved ones to a cherished community treasure or try something completely new."

Her songs, spirit and actions inspire both those who need support and those who
author: Tom Stone
Heather is a wonderful person. She\'s really too good to be a television news anchor. But thank goodness she was in that role so that her bravery would enable her to share her courage, insights, and wisdom with so many others as she struggled with cancer ... a struggle she continues today off air. I am so glad she is off air for now so she can relish time at home with her precious children and other loved ones. I highly recommend this CD because it can be so comforting in various situations ... as well as just be enjoyable and relaxing. Also, it is a great gift for those who need a circle of support ... or those trying to provide support. I\'ll be buying at least two more -- one for my mother who survived breast cancer (but lost her mother to ovarian cancer when I was 8 -- 35years ago); and another for my son. I\'m sure there will be times when some of the songs on here will be inspiring to him. For instance, the \"I hope you dance,\" is one I was already going to give him (as part of a book I bought by the same title). But there are many others on the CD I want him to learn from ... or have by to give him support beyond my living years. -Tom
