Breathtaking and Inspiring!

I have been listening to this singer now for over 4 years in the Kansas City area and have truly felt blessed to be in the same vicinty where she performs. I was first introduced to this artist at my job where she was selling hand-made jewelry and as an afterthought bought her first CD that she had co-wrote with Michael Moreland titled "Cornerstone" I was really not expecting much when I bought it being a local artist but I can honestly say that I was hooked from the very first song and have been a devoted fan of hers ever since. I was there when she released Open Road and I was glad to get it. I will be there to get her next and her next, etc, etc, etc! I have always been a fan of female vocalists such as Olivia Newton John, Linda Ronstadt, Gladys Knight and Aretha Franklin and others. I have to tell you and I am not lying, seeing her perform in person is, to me, just like being in the audience of any one of these performers. Heather Thornton does a rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that will make you forget that, and forgive me, it is hard for me to say this but.. that Judy Garland ever sang it. Also, her performance of Etta James' "At Last" is to say the least marvelous! If her singing alone were not enough to make you want to buy her CD, her songwriting should because it is superb! I have never heard such wonderful phrases put together any better than what Heather Thornton can do. Believe me friends, I have heard songs from her next CD already and you are in for a treat. On top of all that, just from what I know of her, she is really a very nice person, too.

Wow what a smooth voice and what great songs. Its hard to believe that this artist orchestrated the entire CD herself as far as writing the songs and singing. Awesome!
