It seems strange that Milwaukee\'s Heathrow has already reached its 10-year anniversary. It is celebrating this milestone with its first album of new material in nearly 5 years. World Opinion Is With Us is Heathrow\'s best work to date, and shows continued refinement of their Midwestern-cockney sound. Part Sex Pistols, part British Sea Power, part Clash, part Cure: the Heathrow boys have never sounded better nor have they sounded more themselves.
Produced by Mike Zirkel (Garbage, London Suede) at Smart Studios in Madison, World Opinion is With Us showcases lead vocalist Matt Fletcher\'s vignettes of a boy done wrong, a boy whose life and loves are passing him by. \"Kiss The Girls,\" \"My City,\" and \"Another Thing\" are among the strongest songs he\'s ever written. Guitarist Eric White adds to the Heathrow canon with his lyrically powerful \"Flashing Lights\" and jaunty \"Leave Me Hanging.\"
All told, this 12-song, 40-minute ride is the best album to come out of Milwaukee in years and, if there is any justice, world opinion will be with these lads for years to come.
