Ali'i Drive is a collection of original songs along with three of Eddie's favorite songs from three of Hawaii's most gifted composers, songs that Eddie has loved since childhood, hoping that someday he would have the opportunity to record them, culminating in this most enchanting CD. Contemporary Hawaiian music with a touch of New Age Jazz.
The tracks:
1. A'oia - John K. Almeida's perfect Hawaiian shuffle. One of my favorites since hearing the Kahauanu Lake Trio's recording long ago.
2. Ali'i Drive - Drive from Keauhou to the Kailua-Kona pier.
3. Kona By The Sea is a love song for everyone.
4. Nalani's Slack Key - Think of a three year old's non-stop activity.
5. He Aloha No o'Honolulu - A Guitar instrumental to Lena Machado's beautiful ballad.
6. Road To Kailua-Kona - No longer the sleepy laid back resort of 15 years ago.
7. Waikiki - Andy Cumming's haunting ballad yearning to be back home.
8. Road To Waimea - Slack Key rendering of riding the range in Paniolo country.
9. Cruisin' - Take a drive through the heart of West Hawaii with the top down and the wind in your face.
10. Nalani With Love - Lullabye to a special little girl

Light and delightful!

Ali'i Drive is a delight to listen to!
The music is light, crisp, and refreshing as a fine beer.
It envokes visions of a serene Kona sunset shared with a special someone.
I highly recommend this CD.
