Indie rock from the best live band of the year (04). This debut album is a collection of soaring rock numbers and the occassional slow riff. Cominations of violin and raucous guitar make it an uplifting experience. Check out the hit My Friends.

While the band display impressive energy on up-tempo songs like "Car Wash" and "Beyond The Great Beyond," they take their compositional and performance skills to a new level on the slower material, highlights being "Empire" and the aforementioned "My Friends.

Incidentally Chris Martin (COLDPLAY) said they were one of the top two bands in the world at his recent gig in SF!
