DVS Records presents you the long awaited second album from the Canadian band Heaven's Cry, entitled "Primal Power Addiction. Do you remember the debut album "Food For Thought Substitute", released back in 1997? It was voted album of the month in several major metal magazines all over Europe, and as 13th best album of 1997 in the annual poll by Japanese leading magazine Burrn! Everyone was sure about the success of this new original progressive metal band, but things didn't turn out the way they should have. Problems with the record label and the management forced them to wait 5 long years before continuing with the band. Well, after ending the contract, the band signed a new deal with DVS Records, and the result is "Primal Power Addiction".
If you know the debut album you will hear that Heaven's Cry did not change their style drastically, great vocal harmonies and strong guitar riffs are still the most important marks for the band. Not a big surprise when you have 2 excellent vocalists and no less than 3 guitarists in the band.
"This absolute masterpiece - one of the most original albums that I've heard in the new millennium and the best CD ever released by DVS Records - gets, of course, nothing else but my highest recommendations." Progressor
"Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about this band, except that they play a very enjoyable, infectious brand of prog-rock and have a recorded an album without a bad song to be heard. There is hope for progressive music, after all." DeadTide
