Album Notes

Retro Rock meets Sophisto Pop.

NU MUSICAL CHORD JUNCTION
Songs about dry weather, lack of information, cowboys on the run, Jungian synchronicity, ugly people riding busses and falling down due to causes other than gravity.

Great album, grows on you with every listen.

The story so far is:
Ussher met Lucchese. Then, many years later, Ussher met Carmine. In the meantime, Lucchese met Diniz. At some point Ussher introduced Lucchese to Carmine. At some other point, Lucchese introduced Diniz to Ussher and Carmine. HEDGEAR (pronounced HEAD-GEAR) was formed in 2001.

The band's first album NU MUSICAL CHORD JUNCTION was released in June 2002.

Lucchese then decided to go and play with Madame Zoraide because Madame Zoraide likes to play around.

Carmine, Diniz & Ussher continued working on new songs. Rogerio Braga helped out at rehearsals and with arrangements. Lucchese came back to do a little more bass. Fabio Ribeiro joined in to help with the keyboards.

When everything was finished Carmine fell in love and ran off to Campo Grande in Mato Grosso do Sul (look that up in your atlas). He'll be back.

SAGITTARIUS IN THE AIR, the band's second album was released in January 2005. Once again, Retro Rock meets Sophisto Pop.

Both albums are available on CD Baby.

This album grows on you. Songs like - One Question, Crying for a Rainfall, The Last to Know - have been buzzing around my head day and night. Great lyrics too! Ussher is a poet. The guitar work by Carmine enhances the vocal melodies and fills the spaces like a true pro. Good solid guitar band. Great arrangements and sound quality. Do these guys have any other CDs out?

I´m glad someone has finally mixed all these sounds together. The band effortlessly intertwines accoustic and heavy guitars plus keyboard to really live up to the album´s name Nu Musical.... I love the song Eyes and the catchy Crying For A Rainfall. Can´t wait for their second album.
