Heather Edwards

Hometown: Smithfield, VA

Heather loved to sing as a child. Country music became very much a part of her life as she grew up in small country towns. She gives Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride and Faith Hill much credit for her inspiration. She started singing country music for a talent contest at her hometown fair in Isle of Wight, taking first place four times. While she continues to sing regularly at the fair, she does not participate in the contests. As Heather became older, she sang at late night karaoke around town and at the Hampton Bay Days Karaoke Contest where she took first place. Heather is the proud mother of three, but continues to pursue her singing career. She sings at pageants, weddings, fundraisers and local karaoke. She has performed for the Annual Pepsi Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Event in Johnson City, Tennessee for the past 4 years. Over 75,000 people attend this event. She has competed in the Colgate Country Showdown and been to state twice. Heather has recorded an album of her favorite cover songs, including a couple of originals. She plans to record an original album and pursue her life long dream and passion as a country singer.
