Album Notes

I'm a touring singer-songwriter, guitarist and mountain dulcimer player, previously based in Seattle for nineteen years before returning to my family home in Washington, NJ two years ago. My music includes original songs, contemporary folk and traditional music on the dulcimer. My Western swing song "Talk a Little Texan" has been widely heard as recorded by Small Potatoes, and "Good Road" has been the theme song of Northwest Public Radio's Inland Folk show since 1989. Since living back East, I've been quite involved with the dulcimer community, teaching at dulcimer camps and festivals in New England, New York, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio and Missouri. Earlier this year I published two songbooks for dulcimer -- Songs of Bill Staines, Vol. I and Dance with Orion. I also released my fourth CD of original songs, contemporary folk and instrumentals, Gypsy Wind, within the last year. Over 25 years of performing, I've made five solo recordings and have appeared on several compilations including the new Masters of the Mountain Dulcimer, Vol. II. I was a Kerrville New Folk Finalist in 1989 and I won second place in the Northwest Songwriters' Contest in Tacoma, WA in 1998. I continue to tour nationwide, giving concerts and workshops in dulcimer, guitar and songwriting, as well as singing in New Thought and other progressive churches. See my website at www.heidimuller.com for information on my music and tour schedule!

Gypsy Wind
author: Jerri Reynolds
I kept listening to parts of "Mama You're Always There" on the sample until my husband said I should just buy it! I'm glad I did, because there seems to be something meaningful to my life in every song, and it's my "go-to" cd as I'm traveling. My son has Caffe Mela in Wenatchee, and that's how I learned about this artist, listening to the sample music when she performed there.

This is a very heart warming CD.

This is very up beat. You can hear Heidi smiling. Big Ideas makes you feel like you can do anything you try. Mama, You're Always Here made me feel my mother was always near for me. The Stitchery Song is my favorite because it reminds me of myself.
