Album Notes

The Hellhounds are Vince Flora on Lead Vocals, Harp and Guitar, Johnny Beemiller on Guitar / Vocals, Ron Rummage on Bass / Vocals and Bill Meredith on Drums. They possess a certain sound and ability as a band with individual musicianship unparalleled by many.
The Hellhounds would like to invite you to taste some Memphis barbeque for your ears by listening to some clips from Halfway Between Somewhere And Nowhere. The CD was recorded September 2005 at Leeway Music Studios in Memphis with producer Jeff Dunn and engineer Kevin Houston. Mastering was done by Larry and Kevin Nix at Ardent Studios also in Memphis.
Donald "Duck" Dunn ( Booker T. & the M.G.'s, Blues Brothers and Neil Young) served as executive producer on the project as well. The band had Duck come in towards the end of pre-production to see if the songs and arrangements could pass the acid test. Soon thereafter at a show in early August Duck told the band it was time to hightail it to memphis, get down to business and record the CD.
In keeping with the flow of their intense and spontaneous
energy, the Hellhounds finished the CD which showcases the band's powerful live sound in only eight days, topping off
the hard work in the studio with a smokin' show at Blues City on Beale Street.
The Hellhounds are now being played on XM radio Bluesville Ch.74 and have also been featured on the Radar Report
on XMU ch.43 which is the cutting edge new release show
on XM.
The Hellhounds are going to be featured with interviews
on the House Of Blues Radio Hour August 19th & 20th,
check your local HOB station for exact times!
After four years of performing live the hellhounds have captured their high energy Deltabilly Blues on a CD for you to fire up whenever you like. It's time to "get bit" by the Hellhounds!

Frackin' Great!
author: Roy D. Wiprud
I would love to hear these guys in a bar, I can tell that's wherethey would sound the best, basically because of their similarity with a longtome Pacific NW staple, Too Slim and the Taildraggers. They are another band who shines live in the big tavern setting and I was pleasantly surprised at how similar these two bands are. Check out Too Slim if you get a chance, I know CD Baby has several of their CD's and if you like the Hellhounds you will not be disappointed.

Blistering Blues-Rock
author: Bob Moffit
This is some blistering Blues-Rock. These guys know how to ride a hook.If this is their first recording I can't wait to hear more.Smokin! But then again The Hellhounds "Don't Smoke That Stuff."They do like "Blackened Tuna" though.I hope they put together a national tour, we need some good Blues in NYC. Most Blues bands stay out of here,I don't know why.We get the Blues too.
