Album Notes

After extensive touring in Europe with Dutch musician Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon, Stream of Passion), the pianist/composer Alejandro Millán presents Hello Madness, his first solo project. This debut album, titled Light and life after dusk, is inspired by emotions and personal experiences.

Millán\'s background is supported by two albums and a live DVD with the international band Stream of Passion; a production with the project Unwritten Pages; and two releases with the Mexican band Elfonía.

After winning the Music Production Contest of CONARTE, Millán started this ambitious project. He recorded and produced all the songs, creating and developing the concept of Hello Madness.

The songs are constructed by dramatic vocal melodies, elegant piano and keyboard lines, solid bass lines and a very dynamic rythmic section. \"I wanted to make music with a different approach than most rock bands do. That\'s why I chose not to use any guitars at all\", said Millán.

While Millán recorded voice, piano and keyboards, the drums were recorded by Enrique \"Bugs\" González (Aleks Syntek, Jumbo, Dave Weckl), a renown musician in Latin America and USA. The talented Pablo González Sarre (Elfonía, Los Claxons) recorded bass. The mix was done by Dutch keyboardist/producer Joost van den Broek (After Forever, Ayreon). Finally, the mastering was done by Ron Boustead (Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, Lenny Kravitz), at Precision Mastering studios.

Light and life after dusk is a profoundly beautiful album, with songs that will make sing from the heart.
