Song for the Mira
author: Kathleen McKay
The last track "Song for the Mira" is wonderful. The entire CD is very enjoyable. I have been listening to various renditions of "Song for the Mira" by Allister MacGillvary. We have choosen the original, sung by John Allen Cameron in 1973, to be played for my son and I to dance to at his wedding. Although we live in Toronto, our family is from Cape Breton and the song is about that area of Nova Scotia.
Heloise's rendition is beautiful!

My husband's mother was born in Scotland, near Glasgow, my ancestry is English, and my daughter 's partner is English, but moved to Wales at the age of 12, we all love the Scottish music, and Cape Breton Island is full of it,,
