Album Notes

Denver-based singer/songwriter.

Teachings of Mu Arae is a compendium of songs that were written and recorded by Todd Helvig in early 2004. Initially these songs were released as single demo tracks, however popular demand suggested that they be put together on a single album for distribution. They represent the initial shift from Todd's work in the band Celophayne to his independent, solo compositions. As a hard working musician with a day job, Todd continues to play live sets in the Denver, Colorado area. He is also preparing to release his latest recording in late summer, 2006 right here on CDBaby!

As is evident from the price listing, Todd is not in this for the money. He's in it for the music, and all that music brings to our lives. Become a fan today and support local, unsigned, grass-roots musicians everywhere!

Thanks for listening!

I always like hearing new artists because they have such a unique way of arranging their music. It's not just programmed and over-produced. Keep this up and this Helvig stuff is gonna be big!

I really enjoy these songs. They're all so different, and I never get bored listening to them. My favorite is Running out of Time because of the lyrics. They're so true.
