Album Notes

"Her songs are ubercatchy with a rootsy bounce. Her voice is smooth but with a hint of firebrand. Like if she really wanted to, she could rock like there's no tomorrow" - Shut Eye Records, Atlanta, GA .

Welcome to the world of Amy - where her cunning look at life's adventures is expressed through lush harmonies, biting harmonica and catchy riffs. Originally from Atlanta, GA, and more recently from Richmond, VA, Amy Henderson has been playing guitar and crushing the harmonica professionally for over fifteen years. She began her music career in the bars of Greenville, SC, while a student at Furman University and continued playing after graduation in Atlanta and up the east coast while in graduate school in Rhode Island. Amy's music spans many styles - from gritty Americana rock to Alternative folk to ballads. Amy performs mostly as a solo act, but also plays extensively with her band (from Richmond) and collaborated with the talented group on her latest CD, "Back Down."

"...her rhythmic, buoyant folk rock has a big heart all its own, distinguished by Henderson's rich, smoky voice."
- Richmond.com

"You never know what to expect when listening to Amy Henderson. Her songs encompass many styles of music from rock to folk to ballads with some swing and pop thrown in. Adding to her intelligent songwriting is a clear and captivating voice and sometimes manic harmonica, all richly complimenting her solid guitar playing."
- Floating Folk Fest, Richmond, VA.
