Jane Henderson began her performing career in "Never, Never Land" at the age of 9, began classical piano lessons at the age of ten, and was winning statewide awards and performing on stage by the age of 14.
At Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, Jane was a member of the world famous Luther College Nordic Choir for three years, and was a soloist for two years. She performed as a solo guitarist/vocalist and with groups at coffeehouses and in concerts.
Jane has performed, composed, arranged and produced a variety of audio and video products for Reel Good Productions, a creative consulting business she owns with her husband, Kyrl Henderson. One of Jane's latest on-going projects included raising the funding for and the production of a cassette of Christmas music that is given each year to children at the Minneapolis Children's Hospital where Jane and other local singers have caroled for the past 15 years. Jane also produced her own CD "It Might Be Spring" in the spring of 1994.
Jane continues to perform as a soloist on television, radio, in concerts, and at clubs throughout the Twin Cities Metropolitan area. She has also performed with a number of groups and ensembles, including a role as one of the original members of "Women Who Cook!" an all women "all star" Twin Cities Group. WWC has played to consistently sold-out houses at the Guthrie Theater, O'Shaunessy Hall, The Ordway Music Theater, and the State Theater. Jane traveled with WWC to the Soviet Union for 8 concerts in Moscow and in the Black Sea resort of Socci. Jane also enjoyed being the accompanist for the annual Christmas production at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres for the 1995 Holiday Season, and performed with her group "Boulder Roll" at the annual convention of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California in February, 2000. She is currently performing at Yvette Restaurant in Minneapolis every Tuesday in November and December.
Jane and her husband, Kyrl, have one son, John, who is a junior at Luther College.
