Album Notes

Rebecca Henricks, acclaimed by critics “as a modern-day June Carter Cash,” and “…a little piece of heaven on earth” returns to her Texas gospel roots with Sunday Morning. The album is the follow-up to last years Dance With Me, of which Southern Vanity Magazine said, “Rebecca Henricks’ career forecast is sunny and warm, not a cloud in the sky.”

Co-Produced with Mike McClain in Garland, TX and mastered by Bob Gentry in Tyler, TX, Sunday Morning is Henricks’ most adventurous album to date. Performing on the CD are Milo Deering (LeAnn Rimes, Steve Holy, Trout Fishing in America, Beatlegras), Rocky Gribble (Grapevine Opry), and Grammy nominated Patti Wilson. Sunday Morning is Henricks fourth album. Three of her country singles made the Texas Top 50 Regional Radio chart.

Four-time Dove Award winning singer/songwriter, Billy Sprague says, “Rebecca sounds better than ever...the arrangements are so fresh. Technically pure and organic...but most of all, and this has always been Rebecca’s forte...there is so much heart in her vocals.” Billy, referring to a quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes, says: “Most people die with the music still inside them. Rebecca is not letting that happen to her....keep singing songbird!”

When asked about the creation of Sunday Morning, Rebecca replied, "A few years ago, my mother was in the hospital battling ovarian cancer. She wanted to hear the old country hymns that she sang growing up, so, I played them for her on my guitar. After her recovery, I decided to create a CD of these classic songs. It was fun adding in a bluegrass twist to give these treasured tunes new life."

“Rebecca Henricks has a gift to write and sing songs that touch every generation…inspiring hope and faith and bringing peace,” said Robert Morris, Pastor of Gateway Church in Southlake, TX.

Kanakuk Kamps President Joe White said, "Rebecca's incredible heart and passion is the center of each song she sings. Her music is uplifting and her God-given talent shines on each note! God has truly blessed her with an amazing talent!"

A country music convert
author: Karen
Rebecca Henricks has made this transplanted East Coast girl into a country music fan (at least of her simple, clean, bluegrass style). I liked Stagecoach Road, loved Dance with me (the title song is still my favorite), and I especially love her version of I'll Fly Away on this album. Keep 'em coming, Becky!
