I came to know Jesus through music and to this day, He still wakes me up in the middle of the night with songs!
The song "Holy Spirit Come" was written this way. Let me explain:
This guy Anthony calls me up (only time he ever called me) to tell me the Lord told him that I should write a song about "Not by power, not by might but by my Spirit", a scripture out of Zechariah. This was the only time he ever called me and I told him thanks, but the scripture didn't rhyme.
Well, that night the Lord woke me up with a melody that fit the verse perfectly and the song was finished in about 5 minutes. Thank you Jesus!
Most of the songs on this CD were birthed basically the same way.
As for the style of music, I grew up in the world listening to Rock, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Reggae, Ska, Oldies, and basically every other style there is. The music on this CD reflects a mix of all these.
This CD contains mostly praise music that will make you want to dance. So, if you like to dance and praise the Lord, this CD is for you! I pray that the music brings you joy and, more importantly, brings glory to God!
