Album Notes

Music and lyrics have always been a way for me to express myself, even as a boy I would write down silly lyrics and make up my own melodies. There was always an air guitar in my hands and usually there was a mirror in front of me. I was 17 when I picked up a real guitar. After that I was hooked. I had to be in a band! Next thing I knew, I was playing in a few rock bands locally in Columbia, South Carolina, and soon thereafter, I got a chance to play with the O'Kaysions, traveling the Southeastern US and opening for bands like the Temptations, The Four Tops and the Swingin' Medallions. What a great learning experience! From there I got the call to play with a great band called Midnite Flite, playing mostly the Southeast, Florida, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line as the cruise ship show band. What a blast. And best of all, I met the woman of my dreams, Toni, and married her in 1993 on board the Nordic Empress. While starting our family, we moved to Atlanta, Georgia and I began to clearly feel the call of Christ in my life. Shortly after beginning attendance at a local church in my neighborhood, I gave my life to Jesus Christ and began to take more seriously my life's direction. Since then, my wife and I had two children, both girls, and we have settled in North Atlanta where I lead worship in a wonderful little church called "Branches of Christ". A little over a year ago my keyboard player, Kenny Hefner, and I decided to record songs that have been in our hearts for some time now. These songs are loved by the congregation and we felt it was time to share these songs with the world. Our first album, "Will You Sing", is for me, the calling I hear from the Lord. To do just that: Sing For Him! Each one of these songs has a personal testimony, but mostly, they are just love songs, "To the only one who can save us all". So, if your heart is broken, I pray its healed. If your mind is troubled, I pray its freed. And if you love the Lord..... Will you sing? God Bless Henry Leno
