Henry Locke sings songs that are open hearted, honest and about real life. Both that which he has lived and observed.  Definitely a rocker as is shown on songs like Edge of a Dream, Out of the Fire and Rockin' on the Red Line, he is not afraid to show his tender side on songs such as Reason to Believe and Bestest Friends. I have had the pleasure of performing with Henry on stage and in studio.  He is a consummate professional and wonderfully entertaining as comes through in the humorous Bad Hair Day. This is a slice of life collection of songs exhibiting an excellent variety of style and tempo with a continuity that makes it a great addition to anyone's CD library.

Astounding, straight from the heart sounds, resonate thru-out the CD. This man clearly writes and sings for a reason! --a reason and purpose deeper than "self satisfaction". If you listen with your ears, you will be captivated with natural talent,everything flowing and fitting as Henry "brings alive" the whole thought of every song, with the expressive-ness he masters in both VOICE and INSTRUMENT. If you listen with your heart, you feel like you've just made a friend--you find you're crying with, laughing with, and someone who has just convinced you, that there IS a REASON TO BELIEVE and that no matter how destructive the "fire" has been, you too can "pull something higher" OUT OF THE FIRE. I love the way we detect a character that has/is finding a way. It's not a "sorry for me" sound--rather a "this is my experience, and I;m a better person for it". Everything rings HONEST, --- from the perils of "ROCKIN ON THE REDLINE", to the awesome and utter fullfillment at the birth of your own seed, BESTEST FRIENDS, to the danger of being "poisened" with the lust of power & greed, FIND THE MORNING, to the "oh so secret" lonely heart of a popular "me", ME AND MY LONELY STREAK, to the "glorious" humour we ALL know about those BAD HAIR DAYs . Bestest Friends is one of the coolest songs we've ever heard written from Dad to son and has definite movie potential.
