Album Notes

A relentless emcee by age 9, a self taught pianist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer by age 14, Heron De Marco, has been stunning audiences with his brash and poignant lyrics, as well his penchant for composing lush and memorable melodies that blur the lines of musical genres. Hailing from the grimy underbelly of Far Rockaway Queens some say Heron sounds like Nas, and Emimem sporting Hendrix's guitar chops, layered over DJ premier's Boom Bap. No stranger to performing he has dropped sonic napalm on the stage of many open mic clubs within the New York area. As a lyricist he is abrasive, witty, humorous, and introspective. As a producer and composer he's dark, jazzy, bluesy, and experimental. Heron has never allowed himself to be confined to any conservative ideas and enjoys pushing the boundaries of hip hop, rock, metal, and jazz to forge his own sonic gumbo sprinkled with out of the box thought and energy. With his new album Mutiny on the horizon he plans to make his mark on the industry by way of burning down the backdoor with his verbal blowtorch. You've been warned.

This Cd has been what i've been looking for a while. The lyrical flow and content is up there with eminem and nas but still feels original. If you lost hope for that real hip hop, this Cd will replenish your faith in it. Thumbs waaay up! Poet of Pain

This is a quality cd by a quality artist. I have been playing it for everyone I know, and they all love it! All the songs are good. However, cuts like Fire Flies, Way Down, Raindrops, Moshpit, The Hate Song, really stood out for me. This cat can spit with the best of them, and he plays several instruments. He's multi-talented and the world needs to hear some more of Heron Demarco. If you like hiphop, well thought out lyrics and some pretty damn good musicianship, pick this cd up! A definite BUY IT recommendation!
