Bryan Boyce, Kendall Merryman, Kyle Reed, and Robby Fernandez have spent the last 18 months playing shows across the Southern United States and arranging songs, mostly penned by Boyce as his way to deal with the life experiences of a young man growing up in today’s fallen world… songs about love, pain, good times, family, addiction, and the world around him.
In March of 2008, Hero’s Prayer walked into Austin, Texas’ Ramble Creek Studio with one thing in mind, “make some damn good music! No borders, no boundaries.”
Working with studio owner/engineer Britton Beisenherz and producer Matt Powell, Hero’s Prayer walked out of the studio six months later with a self-titled debut CD featuring expressive songwriting, distinctive melodies, crafty musicianship, and extraordinary vocals, holding in hand an original record capable of stirring every human emotion, track by track.
It is this ability to excite emotion from the stage that first propelled Hero’s Prayer to the forefront of San Antonio, Texas’ live music scene within just one year together, as word spread of live performances packed with raw energy, creative expression, and passionate fans.
The industry will be forced to label this music and will settle somewhere along the Texas Music – Alternative Rock classifications. Hero’s Prayer will strive to make any classification as difficult as possible, aiming only to provide new, fresh, truly original music to the world, straight from Texas!
