Nice first album

I have yet to hear much of the second, but various little birdies are saying it's a good deal more refined. The lyrics are a bit unsophisticated; that is, it's got a definite "first album" feel to it. That said, it's got a great tone to it. I'm put in a mind of Joan Baez and Emmylou Harris. Will definitely be picking up the second after hearing this one.

It's a great album. Pure, soulful, and true.

Thanks to a recommendation from my cousin Rich I came across Caroline Herring's music. "Twilight" is a recent favorite. Her pure eloquent tones touch the heart and mind, and bridge the bewildering gap between those far reaching celestial bodies. (Yeah, something like that.) It's a great album! Pure, soulful, and true. I can't wait to hear her latest release.

Caroline Herring's first CD
author: John Yuskiw
It's great to hear from whence she came, but the first CD lacks the polish and refinement of the second. I recognize the Carter family influence, but many of the songs sound contrived while "Magnolias" shows her at her best. It's worthwhile to own this album, I look forward to her next.

Heartfelt and Honest, Raw and Real
author: Jenna Sokolowski
Surrounded by some truly incredible musicians, Caroline's voice takes off and soars, lands and drives... Her songs are filled with emotional stories that really reach out and touch home. I came across this album sort of randomly and am SO glad i did -- it's down to earth with an edgy, raw quality. Looking forward to more from her for years to come.
