Album Notes
Our new release, SATELLITES, is 12 slices of urgent textured pop. The intense chemistry of HVG is on full display here with lush intertwining vocals propelled by surging walls of guitar noise. Unforgettable melodies soar and swoon over propulsive rhythms and vivid atmospheres. It all unfolds seductively with each song revealing a new facet of HVG's power dream pop. Written over the course of 2006 and recorded in an intense two weeks in August, this is Her Vanished Grace at its best.

Arguably the best record from Her Vanished Grace, with that perfect admixture of uplifting melodies and a melancholy sensibility. There is yearning in the lyrics that appeals immensely and the music makes you ache as you yearn for things you can\'t have and yet, the songs have a heavenly sweetness that softens the hardest of hearts. I know because I have one. My favorites are Satellites which brings me back to the energy and passion of 1989 when music was good, only this is better. Too Many Choices is dreamy and seductive and Broken Mirror painful and beautiful. The vocals remind of The Clouds or Kirsten Hersch, the harmonies delightful and then of course there is the BASS. Love that bass.
