Dave plays most instruments to varying degrees of annoyance/delight for the listener. His music nods to funk, folk, rock, jazz and rap, but the consistent use of the acoustic guitar ties these many influences together in a way that is best described as Americana. His experience includes many years as an engineer, producer and studio musician in various studios around the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles area. He has worked with a wide variety of musical artists and genres. His credits as a performer include national and regional television and radio appearances. He has also toured the west coast extensively as the percussionist for the popular Southern California band 'Spencer The Gardener'.
With "Deeds', his first solo record, David has infused many of the styles and instruments he has come to love into his songs.

I am married to your cousin Terry and I ordered your cd as a surprise for him. We haven't seen you in years and we were very excited to read about your success in the Demotte newspaper. We enjoyed the cd so let us know if you release anymore. Also, we're still in Hebron, In if you're ever in town!

Over-all, this cd is a plethora of vibrant, yet soulful melodies combed through with a resilience that, at times, made me laugh. The song '21', left me with a pretty funny visual. Noahs Song was pleasantly remeniscent of a friend of mine, who also died at a young age. Outro was 'da-bomb'!! This cd was masterfully arranged with an array of licks and unique vibes. GREAT ALBUM!!

You should get this album . . .

If you're not familiar with David Hetrick, you should be. This guy is a multi-facted artist who's the real deal - and those are nearly impossible to come by in these days of "copy artist" and MBA record execs. Get the CD, listen to it three or four times and you will see there are multiple layers within each song that will continue to show you something new with each listen. This is also a great album to turn your friends on to - they will thank you for it.
