Music is an easy thing to love
Inspia Media announced this week the release of Kirby Heyborne's first solo album titled "Inside." The album contains 11 original songs written and performed by the star of such films as "The Best Two Years," "Saints and Soldiers," "The R.M." and the recently released "Sons of Provo." Kirby's musical style can be best described as alternative pop with intricate rhythmic guitars and warm vocals.
"Most people don't know that I was into music long before I started with acting," says Heyborne, who lives with his family in Los Angeles. "With music I can express my thoughts and feelings in a different way than as an actor. I love and embrace both forms of expression."
Kirby got interested in music when he was 15. He played in local bands like Shasta Daisy and Bentleigh, which had a good following in Utah and Idaho. With Bentleigh, Kirby opened for N'Sync at the Olympic Medals Plaza during the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games.
Heyborne recently showed off his musical talent again in the mockumentary "Sons of Provo," in which he plays a member of a Mormon boy band. "It was a great experience for me, because I could be both, an actor and a musician, at the very same time," says Kirby. It was only a short stretch for him to finally come out with his first solo album.
When he ran into Christian Vuissa, the director of "Baptists at Our Barbecue," the two decided to collaborate together on an album. Vuissa, who also produced the soundtrack for his film, believed right away in Kirby's musical talent. "Kirby is incredibly talented not just as an actor but also as a musician. His musical sensitivity is outstanding, and this album is definitely proof of it."
Heyborne continues his thriving acting career. He recently signed with a new agent and gets regularly invited to auditions for national TV shows and films. "He's very dedicated and always strives for excellence, definitely a good combination," says Vuissa, who considers working with Heyborne on a film project in the near future.

All the songs are sweet, but I like the first two--Perfect Together is my fave. I don't see why he's not getting radio play....who is in charge of that, anyway? Dude, the guy's got talent for days.

I know it will be good

I love Heyborne's tender tunes--he works the guitar like he's petting a cat or touching the petals of a flower on the mellow songs and he ROCKS on the others. Some of the other reviews say he's coming out with a new one--if it's as good as this one, I'm buying it--I don't even HAVE to hear it first--I KNOW IT WILL BE GOOD!
Some singers that are great--like Blake on Idol--just can't handle other kinds of songs, but on this album, Kirby can---he can rock it, he can sing tenderly--there isn't a song he can't do justice to.

Better than expected!!

This cd is so singalongable! (if it's not a real word, it should be--if only to describe these songs!)
I've seen his movies, but was so surprised that Kirby Heyborne is even more talented as a singer/songwriter/guitarist! (If that's possible). He can play any part and I truly believe he can cover most musical genres as well.
The lyrics are meaningful, artistic--poetic, even!
This cd touches on pop and folk. Great tunes, great vocals, great guitar, great lyrics, great cd, great artist!
If you like this, you'll love his other cds as well. I heard a new one is coming out fall '07---look into it 'cause if it's anything like the 3 Heyborne already has out, it will be so worth buying.
