ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Most people don't know that I was into music long before I started with acting," says Heyborne, who lives with his family in Los Angeles. "With music I can express my thoughts and feelings in a different way than as an actor. I love and embrace both forms of expression."

Kirby got interested in music when he was 15. He played in local bands like Shasta Daisy and Bentleigh, which had a good following in Utah and Idaho. With Bentleigh, Kirby opened for N'Sync at the Olympic Medals Plaza during the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games.

Heyborne showed off his musical talent again in the mockumentary "Sons of Provo," in which he plays a member of a Mormon boy band. "It was a great experience for me, because I could be both, an actor and a musician, at the very same time," says Kirby. It was only a short stretch for him to finally come out with his first solo album.

When he ran into Christian Vuissa, the director of "Baptists at Our Barbecue", the two decided to collaborate together on an album. Vuissa believed right away in Kirby's musical talent. "Kirby is incredibly talented not just as an actor but also as a musician. His musical sensitivity is outstanding." In March 2005, Heyborne's debut album “Inside” was released.

May 2, 2006 Heyborne's second solo album “Braver Days” is released with Nathan DeVore as producer. “Kirby shows maturity in his songwriting and musicianship,” says Christian Vuissa, executive producer of “Braver Days. He has definitely grown in the past year.”

Heyborne continues his thriving acting career. He signed with a great agent and gets regularly invited to auditions for national TV shows and films. "He's very dedicated and always strives for excellence, definitely a good combination," says Vuissa, who considers working with Heyborne on a film project in the near future.

Talking about his new album “Braver Days”...“This is a more intimate album than my first one,” says Heyborne. “The songs are about taking chances and finding the courage to be better. After listening, you may feel motivated to forgive a brother, realize how great your family is, or take the leap of faith that you have been avoiding. Each song will say what it needs to say to each listener. Every detail in every song on this album has a purpose.”

“I think with each year that passes, we learn more about life and how we fit into it. This album is about knowing who I am and what is important to me. I am very proud of this album.”

What can a girl say besides, "AWESOME"!
Poet? Singer? Songwriter? Funky guitar guy? Actor?
Who IS this guy???
His name should be Jack, 'cause he's a jack of all trades. The guy is freakin' amazing--he can do it all! This cd is more folk-ish than his last one, but don't let the word "folk" turn you off--don't you dare!!!! 'Cause "Braver Days" has the best lyrics and alternates between smoothin' and groovin'--awesome awesome awesome!

Braver Days Delivers!!
Personally, I appreciate the song Brown Eyes on Braver Days. As a brown-eyed girl who sees a shocking lack of brown-eyed girl songs, I feel validated and beautiful to be represented.
Every song is soooooo totally worth listening to, but that is my favorite. Thank you, Kirby Heyborne!!

Summer Sun is the Perfect Summer Song!!!!
Ya know how every summer has like a theme song? Kirby's Summer Sun one is like the most perfect summer song--driving along with the wind in my hair--when you're all warm and tan and happy. It's like the most perfect summer song EVER! I'm gonna listen to this, cranked on my cd player with the car windows open and brush my hair in the summer sun! Kirby rocks! I want all his cds now.

These songs make me cry - they're awesome, though!
This CD rules! The songs make me cry, but they are awesome and so well written. My favorites are "Home" and "Blushing Through." "Home" is the saddest one because he's asking his brother, who used to be really close to him, to come back home (in real life, not just made up for the song!). It says, "Does this mean we've been forgiven for what's hiding in our bones? Let me say I'm sorry for the things that I do, I still love you." How sad is that? I hope you like this CD as much as I do.
