Hey Rim Jeon Rocks The Piano!
author: Faster Than Light Magazine
I picked up this CD at my local Barnes And Noble after Hey Rim told me it was for sale there. I took it home, listened to it, and was amazed at the quality of the musicianship on the disc. Hey Rim and friends are great musicians, and it really shows. However, what impressed me the most was the choice of compositions. Many excellent musicians have the ability to bore the listener to tears with complicated song structures, odd time signatures, and musical meandering. But not Hey Rim and friends - the songs are memorable and I even found them lingering in my head after the CD ended. Great work, looking forward to another disc sometime soon!

Check out "One for Brother Benny"...this deserves serious attention!
author: Tommy Campbell - Professional drummer, composer
It is always refreshing to hear a group such as the Hey Rim Jeon trio make their individual sounds come together as a "living - breathing" composite. Original compositions by both Jeon and Warner are worth an ear or two. Especially noteworthy is "One For Brother Benny" written by drummer, Curtis Warner. Anything with his name on it deserves serious attention.

Back to the basics
author: GMAN
I must say that I had a wonderful time exploring this CD. It really took me back to the basics of what Jazz music is all about. Hey Rim Jeon is an artist that I hope we will continue to here good music from. Her trio of musicians provide the other fundamental elements of pure harmonic tones that grace this album. I recommend everyone take a nice quiet evening of listening.
