Album Notes

HEYWOOD is currently living & playing gigs in the Minneapolis area. They are a trio these days - and the music is incredible!!! "Through the Hidden Gates" was recorded when the guys were in high school, and the following bio is from that era. Heywood continues to create original music, while going to college. Check the website for the new music: www.heywoodmusic.com Thanks for looking!!

Heywood is a young band of high school friends from Rapid City, South Dakota,
committed to playing and creating music together.

The five band members include Marty Cowles on keyboard and vocals, Aaron
Bjerke on lead guitar, Ben Haggerty on bass, RJ Odom on drums, and Kirsten
Iverson on electric violin and vocals.

The main goal of the band is to carry on with the music, and to play for as many people as possible. They plan on staying together as long as the gigs keep coming.

Heywood describes their sound as "alternative fusion rock", with undertones of
jazz, blues, and reggae. The band's original material, which is written by
Bjerke and Cowles, is high-energy and melodic. Strong influences come from
Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Pink Floyd, music of the 70s and jazz.
