Album Notes
Hezekiah Goode plays music solidly in the vein of the old-time folk and country music that he grew up listening to in rural southern Missouri - music that has been heard in America forever. It encompasses everything from spare traditional tunes inspired by the Carter Family to the ragtime guitar of Mississippi John Hurt, from flatpicked bluegrass to 40's-style country ballads featuring wailing fiddles and weeping pedal steel guitars. This collection is distinguished by a powerful focus on songwriting and creative contributions from a host of world-class Colorado (and Nashville) musicians.
