Album Notes

Strongly original, Holly has unique performance and composing skills. Seasoned with international experience and recordings in UK with ex-husband, guitar legend Davy Graham, and folk club tours with swing guitarist Diz Disley before he joined gypsy violinist Stephan Grapelli, Holly has created several niches for herself that span folk, blues, jazz, theatre, teaching, peace activism and playwriting. True Stories and Cautionary Tales marks her first work in the crossover genre of jazz, blues and folk. Featuring friend and noted pianist Joe Baque, this album offers a variety of joyful, interestingly crafted songs that speak intelligently about Holly's life and feature her sense of humor, too.

This is a wonderful album full of passion, whimsy, nostalgia, humor, and of course Holly's remarkable voice, delightfully embellished by Joe Baque's piano. I highly recommend this album. It's lovely with just enough goofiness sprinkled in.
