ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
[Susan Hickey] has struck deep into the heart of the kind of spirited folk music that I love best ...Water Meets Sand is a musical journey well worth taking.

[Water Meets Sand] features excellent arrangements and those spine-tingling vocals by Susan that draw you into the songs (even if you are not a total Celtic-folk enthusiast, you will be amazed by the vocals). Susan Hickey is the Joni Mitchell of Celtic-folk music and I look forward to her next release.

Each selection on Water Meets Sand is in some way unique ... yet in another connected. Each tells us a story and invites us to enter the story being told. Listeners ...experience this CD not only with the ears but with the heart and soul ... While Water Meets Sand is officially Susan's first CD, it's by no means the work of a new or amateur artist. Susan's life experience as much as her musical talent and uncorrupted voice provide us with a musical offering to rival any professional or big label product on the market.

Ahhh...Salty air and friendly beer guzzling 'mates. Sounds just like the Celtic tradition. :)

Wonderful CD! Artist is EXCELLENT!
This CD is very good. I am having to battle my whole family to get to take it with me in my car or to work. (Even my teenage daughter loves it and teenagers don't normally appreciate GOOD music.)

A great CD with wonderful music
This CD has a lot of great songs I fell in love with right off the bat. It has sad songs and songs that will have you in stitches. It gets an A+ in my book.

Music will stay with you.
I'm the teenage daughter she's taking about. After I listened to the CD once, it stayed in my car for a month. The radio no longer existed.

The Calm of the Sea
I've owned and loved this album for years, now I've found that it is the one thing that can always calm down my two-week old son. He'll be a good sailor like his daddy. Thank you Susan.
