Jon Hicks is one of the finest flatpickers in traditional Irish music. He is a master of playing fiddle tunes on the guitar at lightning speed without forgetting that the music is first and foremost dance music and that it needs to keep its lilt. Thanks Jim! the answer could be because in the 12 yrs since I recorded this for Talltree, they have never arranged a single gig, given me a single promo copy or indeed communicated with me in any way at all .... just a guess!
