This was recorded at the foot of the Smoky Mountains, in East Tennessee, where many Scot-Irish settled. While the Smoky Mountains are renowned for a very specific style of Bluegrass gospel music, this album attempts to slide beneath that style to get at the Celtic roots of the area's fantastic music. Every Sunday at the Anglican Church of the Apostles in Knoxville, you'll find upright bass, fiddle, piano, guitar, and pipes, in a service we call "Celtic Acoustic." www.apostlesonline.org
