Album Notes

First, I should mention that tracks 9 and 20 contain language and describe situations that some may find objectionable - Parents be advised!

Now that the above is out of the way, to continue:

This cd was mostly recorded summer and fall of 2006 during rehearsals for our performance at the Space Rock Con. Originally conceived as an instrumental album, it slowly morphed to include bits of narration and dialog presenting real "slice o' life" stories and situations. There are no "songs" on this disc. It became evident that a verse/chorus "song" would be out of place on this project. Aside from the excellent drumming of Brian Johnston and Jeff "Oyster Fork" Walker's solid bass, Kenneth Johnston plays mostly electric guitar, Roland Guitar Synth, and a couple of guitars modified for two-handed tapping. Although there are a couple of pieces (Cobalt Rat) that were composed and generated using software, all the music was basically recorded live with a minimum of treatments, although a few pieces were edited either to reduce length or to remove clams.
