Album Notes

This is a collection of songs I wrote between 1985 to 1993. It's whatever came out of me based on where I was and what I was seeing (or seeking) at the time. It's an electric mix that goes from funk, to latin, to rock, to punk, to folk, and to some places undefined. I play all the instruments (drums,bass, guitar, singing, harmonica) and started in 1988 with my first demo tape entitled "Chiropractic On My Back" as I was deciding on either a carrer as a musician or a doctor. I chose both. The name Highway Face was given to me and I adopted it. It symbolize how all of us are on a journey on this highway of life, each with lines and looks and voices and stories just in our faces alone. I have done three demo tapes since then, all which sold well in Canada. This is my first CD with cleaned up versions and new unreleased songs. Because I love different styles, there are a variety of songs to appease everyone, and most people comment on the philosophical lyrical content, without getting too deep where one is lost in metaphors and can't relate. In the words of my mentor Frank Zappa, music is the best!
