ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hillbillies from Mars are a legendary Contra Dance band from the SF Bay area who have been playing to the delight of audiences since 1982. The Hillbillies are Daniel Steinberg on flute and keyboards, Paul Kotapish on guitar and mandolin, Ray Bierl on fiddle and vocals, and Kevin Carr on fiddle and Uillean pipes. These lads have played Irish,Scottish, American, Appalachian, Latin, Balkan, French, Quebecois, and Scandinavian music for dancing and in concert across the USA and around the world. As Danny Carnahan once said,"This band could get dead people to dance."
