Album Notes

Shelion Hinds was born in Kingston Jamaica, West Indies on October 8th. She came to the United States in February of 1978.

Her music ministry began at the age of 13. Her church discovered her voice when she was asked to sing at a youth program at Shiloh Church of God 7th Day - Hyattsville, MD. During her time there, she sang in two choirs. The Praise & Worship Choir and the Youth Choir. In March of 1998 she performed in the Gospel Talent Showcase at the Public Playhouse in Bladensburg, MD. The showcase was sponsored by: The Coalition for the Homeless, hosted by: C&R Productions. She won second place prize. The crowd was displeased with the judges decisions, however, Shelion didn't stop there. She continued to perform at conventions, concerts, banquets and anniversary programs nationwide.

Shelion is often referred to as an "anointed" vessel. Everywhere she went, she left her mark of inspiration, meekness and beauty on the hearts of those who have had the privilege to hear her sing and meet her in person. Her melodious voice brought her church home to tears at one powerful Revival Service in November of 1998. In May of 1999 she sang at the Annual Joint Church of God (JCGF) Convention held in Toronto, Canada. Her photo appeared on the front cover of their annual Newsletter Magazine.

Her first solo CD Project "In Spite of The Odds" was released in January 2005.
