this album was recorded at hinkelstone-studios
near the wonderful black forest in germany.
it rather took a long time from the first session
to the final release !
It is a solo-project of the "FoolsGarden"-guitarist
Dirk Bluemlein and Claus Mueller (now playing in "FoolsGarden" as well !) joined this project in 2001.
Not just a simple album but an one hour lasting emotional journey, which involves and show you the various facets of a less than ordinary artist and his music. From pop to rock, through modern disco music ("Run" and "The Beauty Of It"), sweet ballads ("You Can't Fall Down"), awesome instrumental tracks ("Reprise" and "Save Your Life") and songs with a hit potential ("Shine").
All accompanied by captivating lyrics, which describe strong feelings and characters, in an atmosphere between dream and hard reality
Volker Hinkel began his musical career in 1979 with his first band. After several projects he formed the band FOOLS GARDEN
together with Peter Freudenthaler in 1990.
Together they wrote the world hit "Lemon Tree" which was produced by Volker Hinkel as well.
After producing 6 Fools Garden albums he took some time to work on his solo project in 2002.
