Doug rocks!!!
author: Devin Richards
I've seen Doug playing live many a day and it's nice to hear the passion with which he plays come through in his recording.
He is no joke! The rhythms, the life, the groove just invades and excites your body as you listen just like when you watch him play.
I definitely recommend the album!
If I'm forced to give a fav I would say for me it's Swang, Signal and Sic 'Em.
But really there are so many different grooves and feels I can't or rather don't want to just single any one out.
It's a complete experience.

What a refreshing change from what's heard in the clubs and on the airwaves these days. Doug takes the best elements from a variety of music and creates a unique and tasteful blend of world sounds and styles. Cool stuff.

Fun mix of jazzy, funky sounds!
author: Adela Brito
Doug Hinrichs serves up an interesting and fun mix of jazzy, funky world beats. I have seen Hinrichs perform in NYC, backing a band; however, as he proves here, he’s capable of providing quite the percussion fest on his own. On this CD, I especially like Swang, Samba G, Q & A, and Figure You Out. My highest compliment for Hinrich’s great work here: A number of these songs or at least portions of them could easily find their way into Paul Simon’s Rhythm of the Saints, one of my favorite albums!

You can play this music anytime
author: Bob (famous)
I have heard Doug Hinrichs before, and I knew he had great musical chops. In this, his first album, he proves that he is also an excellent crafter of song. But there is yet more, as you will see if you listen... This is an album that stands up to close listening as well as for driving, chillin', partying, relaxing, working, etc. Sounds amazing I know, but it is true. You will get a LOT of play out of this album.
