Like our hero Joe Friday sez, "Just the facts"; so that's what we'll stick with for now!
HiP RiPPER is a 4-man, rockin' pop band based out of Queens, New York.

Now, in July 2003, we are proud to announce that HiP RiPPER's follow-up CD, "GO!" has been released and is finally available for rabid fans, friends and enemies alike through hipripper.com , CDBaby.com and a variety of local mom n' pop record shops.

On "GO!" you'll hear the sound of a real band making real music for the sheer joy of playing. As usual, there was no plan or timetable putting the new record together, other than having a good time doing it.
Work was done when they felt like it and the "Gone Fishing" sign was hung up when they didn't.

The result is 9 powerful songs with plenty of hooks to pull you in and enough energy to knock you out! The songs were recorded live in ONE DAY (including the lead vocals) with HiP RiPPER's original bassist Bill Cowen.

"All Coming Down", "Over My Shoulder" and "Drown" are particular standouts that will get your toe tapping and heart palpitating.

It seems that rock music in particular these days is rarely presented as the exhilarating art form it's meant to be, but HiP RiPPER retains an old-fashioned sense of
showmanship & dynamics that comes across on "GO!" as well as at their hot live shows.

HiP RiPPER released their first full-length CD, "Let's Go Out" in 1999 to local rave reviews. Featuring 12 songs with freewheeling hooks, harmonies & guitar licks, the disc became an instant fave among NY pop/rock fans. "Anywhere You Wanna Go" and "The State I'm In" are two particular treats from "Let's Go Out".

HiP RiPPER's subsequent acoustic shows at the Bitter End, Baggot Inn, Sidewalk Cafe and CB's 313 Gallery in NYC did much to cement their reputation as a strong songwriting band that knows how to reel and rock.

Their electric shows at The Continental, CBGB, Arlene Grocery, Le Bar Bat, The Bitter End, etc. showed folks that this was a band that could kick it up, take it down and cool it out.

Keep your ears peeled for HiP RiPPER at a venue or radio station near you!
