Album Notes

Hiroshi Kondo's First Mini-album is finally published out to the world.

I started writing pop songs when I was around 10 years old. Since then, I wrote hundreds of songs but never officially published them. Now, after 35 years, I decided to release them one by one hoping there would be some people found my songs worth listening to. People often compare my songs with the works of The Beatles, Paul McCartney and John Lennon and indeed I love The Beatles and John & Paul more than anything :)

This first album is a mix of relatively old and new songs of mine. My belief is a pop song should be universal and timeless. Just like any The Beatles' songs, I hope you listen to mine and feel it was written yesterday.

全世界に向けて発表した、近藤展司のファースト／ミニアルバムです。

10歳くらいの時から、ポップソングを書き始め、すでに数百曲のレパートリーを持っていますが、公に発表したことはほとんどありません。でも、世の中に、僕の曲を聴いてくれる人が少しでもいるならば、これから少しずつ公開したいと思っています。僕の曲は、よくビートルズっぽいとかポールマッカートニーやジョンレノンっぽいとか言われますが、それもそのはず、彼らが大好きなのです。だから比べられると面映いとともに、嬉しくもあります。

このファーストアルバムには、僕の比較的古い曲と新しい曲が混ざっています。僕は、ポップソングは国を超え、時代を超えるものだと信じています。ビートルズの曲のように、僕の曲も聴くたびに、まるで昨日書かれたような曲だと感じてもらえたら最高です。
