Album Notes

Hisayuki Terai, well known in the jazz world as a protege of jazz legend Tommy Flanagan, is one of few continuing the Detroit hard bop piano style of his mentor. Like Flanagan, his touch is crystalline, interpretations are poetic and tasteful in solid hard bop style. Bassist Zaiko Miyamoto and drummer Ippei Suga showing an excellent job. Recorded May. 2011.
