Album Notes

His Mighty Robot is an alternative rock band based in NY, New York formed in 2003.

The core lineup consists of Soda (lead vocals and guitars)and H-Rocker (backup vocals and guitars).

After heavy touring in the tri-state area and working in CT and NJ the band independently released their debut 4 song EP, His Mighty Robot - Open Your Mind, in March of 2005.

There is an obvious heavy influence from early nineties alternative music. Primarily The Smashing Pumpkins & The Cure.

A complete definition of the term "do it yourself", they have promoted, recorded, created their website, artwork, and merch, all on their own.

In 2006 they began to record their debut LP at Sony Studios in NYC. Changing their style from the programmed drums to live drums for this effort adds to their intense sound that they previously only displayed live. Their first full length, entitled His Mighty Robot - The Conflict, was released on Thanksgiving in 2006.

Brace yourself for the Creativity
author: Mishu Panda
I saw His Mighty Robot a few times and was impressed with their showmanship. They dress the part and don’t look like the audience when they come off stage. Soda is the show. His posture & performance is like Jim Morrison coming back into an experimental band. The music is very creative and goes beyond the boundaries of all genres. Soda invents his own chords, time signatures & breaks all the rules of music theory. His mighty robot is emotional and sometimes dark but the lyrics shine on with valor. In conclusion all I can say is this CD is a must for all of those who have an open mind without any conflict. Mishu Panda

Unconcerned with image or what is commercial this trio has brought forth a unique and bold sound. Harkening back to that magical era in the early 90s when The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and Nine Inch Nails were breaking new ground. The Conflict is a breath of fresh air and you can definitly feel their influences coming through. So if you are looking for something new and exciting, pick this Mighty Robot up.
