Album Notes

ACEDIA is History of Guns terrifying third studio album.

Confrontational, angry and bleak lyrically, Acedia also manages to be contrastingly touching and melodic without a hint of the pantomime that often comes with bands who consider themselves to be 'dark'. The album is filled to the brim with a reasoned and intelligent nihilistic hatred that is both moving and darkly fascinating. A cruel, relentless work of experience, of feeling and of humanity.

History Of Guns are a cross-genre experimental UK band, largely made up of: punk, alcohol, industrial, chaos, escapism, ambient, manic-depression, dance music, mysticism, sound effects, other worlds, progressive rock, altered states and self-destruction.

History Of Guns are Del Alien and Max Rael and a revolving cast of supporting musicians... regular contributors include: Gary Hughes, Fester, Daniel Vincent, Goose and original co-founder Stagger Lee.

History Of Guns have played live sporadically throughout their career including several notable festival perfomances such as the Whitby Gothic Weekend (April 2006) and both FUTUREPUNK23 and BACK TO THE FUTUREPUNK.

History Of Guns are interested in playing any gigs, particularly unusual ones... (they might need a bit of notice to assemble a band though.)
