Album Notes
H.M.P is Heavy Metal Poetry. A band of 19 to 22 year olds from Seattle Washington who have quickly become a top drawing Seattle metal act. The band started as Sophomores in High School back in 2002 but after their reputation for rowdy crowds and broken venues spread throughout the Snoqualmie Valley, they were forced to take their unique breed of old school heavy metal westward, to Seattle and Tacoma. Bringing their Killer live show with them, They broke into the Seattle Metal scene in 2004 opening for Metal Church at Studio 7 in Seattle. The quartet has since shared the stage with such metal heavy hitters as Exodus, Overkill, Goatwhore, Arsis, Warbringer, Joey Belladonna of Antrhax, Full Blown Chaos, Toxic Holocast, Origin, Vader, Malevolent Creation, Dew Scented, Manntis and Animosity, and have even begun headlining their own Seattle shows. The band has also just finished their first 11 date, west coast tour and are continuing to book out of state shows to further spread the destruction.

HMP's Self financed and released album, “Heavy Metal Poetry”, Released in March of ’07 sold its first 500 copies locally in barely over 3 weeks and continues to sell very well and receive rave reviews, being dubbed “The album Metallica would have made after …And Justice for All” by a Puerto Rican metal mag and receiving 91/100s and 4/5s elsewhere. Songs from the album have gained airplay on many internet and local radio stations worldwide, including Seattle’s biggest rock radio station, 99.9 KISW where the boys were featured in an interview on air to promote the albums release which is making waves worldwide due to their steadily growing fan base via the internet and word of mouth. With their musical prowess rivaled only by their energetic live show and unwavering determination, these four will stop at nothing to join the ranks of their influences at the top of the metal world, and, from the looks of things, that vision may be just around the corner.
