Kabaselleh's style is rooted in rumba even as it stays true to the ever popular unique western Kenya benga. His songs, while mostly love-based, also reflected his own sense of creativity and quality. The result is a collection of songs that all became chart busters in Kenya and beyond with Achi Maria being declared a classic of all time by music reviewers globally. A track composed by Kabaselleh but never recorded by him, Matthews Anyumba Juma, is included here having been recorded after his death with the help of his long time friend, Madaraka Uledi. This track was not on the initial release of this CD in 1997.
