Guitar music is something I've always loved. It can be like a distant train whistle, a seedy hotel room or the taste of dust at the side of the road.
"Tune A Fish" is like a postcard from places imagined and real that takes you on a haunting and ever-hopeful back-roads trip. The pieces range from melancholy to slapstick featuring resonator, lap steel guitars and were written as film music.
For example, The Bay, Cafe Cafe, (Luminous Landscapes, Canada) or Strum Dumb (Diana Galligan's short comedy, "This is the Life").
"Tune A Fish" was recorded in Toronto and Berlin and was mixed and mastered at Thommy Hein Music Production, Berlin.
This time out Morning Oyster Musick includes guest performances by guitarists Eric St-Laurent (CDN), Joerg Schippa (DE).
All compositions are by Robert Hoare.
