Album Notes

Chris Hobson's debut release "self titled" is a collection of early works composed, produced, performed, and recorded by Chris Hobson.

Think David Bowie grooves with Queen-like harmonies, Ben Folds-style piano, and fun beach boys melodies. This record is unique and intricate enough for the most critical of indie rockers, but is also light and poppy enough to be enjoyed by some of the hipper parents out there.

Heck yes. This CD is an awesome exploration of songwriting! I love the catchy, jazzy tunes like Coffee House Girl and the strangely haunting songs like Clockwork world. Cool to listen to at any time of the day, any day of the week.

I know what you're thinking. "of course you like it. you wrote and recorded all of the songs, and you're making money every time somebody buys it. come on chris, you're a little biased." And you know what? You're absolutely right. But I do actually enjoy listening to it, and that's more than many artists can say about their own records.
